Assessment and Instruction
Course Description
Beginning teachers will focus on the types of assessments used at their school, in district, state and national levels. Strategies for strengthening the use of assessment data for instructional planning will be researched, applied and reflected upon.
Learning Outcomes
- Modify instructional plans to adjust for student needs based upon multiple, formative assessments.
- Use summative data to determine appropriate instruction.
- Articulate results of standardized tests to a variety of stakeholders.
- Use data from specialized testing in order to participate in appropriate student placement and instructional decisions.
