Differentiated Online Instruct

Course Description

Examines the strategies required for adapting instruction and assessment to the individual needs of diverse learners in a wide spectrum of educational environments. Course content focuses on the application of current effective online practices for increasing the instructors’ competency in responding appropriately to students’ diverse learning needs.

Learning Outcomes

  • analyze the learning styles and multicultural influences that affect student learning
  • apply research based strategies specific to differentiating instruction and assessment for the purpose of improving student learning
  • create a unit of study that includes multiple differentiation and assessment strategies
  • evaluate the differentiated unit of study and assessment instruments utilizing student peer review
