Course Description
Focus on observation, identification, description, and assessment of challenging behaviors. Designing and implementing effective teaching and learning strategies to successfully guide these behaviors within a social and cultural context.
Learning Outcomes
- Show competence in discussing challenging behaviors in the context of contemporary learning and developmental theory
- Design lesson plans that address individual differences, cultural diversity and family systems.
- Use appropriate oral and writing skills in collaborating with parents, caregivers, and the community regarding challenging behaviors in the classroom.
- Write measurable learning outcomes for a developmentally age appropriate lesson that aligns with standards and guidelines.
