Assess Inst D/HH Birth-5yrs

Course Description

Candidates will develop the collaboration skills to enable participation in a multi-disciplinary educational team that provides appropriate assessment in the language, listening, cognitive and social skills of deaf and hard of hearing students and develops an appropriate intervention and education program for students ages birth through 5.

Learning Outcomes

  • Demonstrate ability to select, implement and interpret appropriate assessments and develop appropriate interventions for the language, listening, cognitive and social skills of deaf and hard of hearing students ages birth through 5
  • Demonstrate ability to communicate and collaborate with general educators, service providers and families to develop appropriate interventions and education programs for students who are deaf and hard of hearing
  • Develop IFSP and IEP for deaf and hard of hearing students ages birth through 5.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of instructional methods, systems and techniques for deaf and hard of hearing students ages birth through 5.
