Course Description
Explore and review of complex principles and applications of nurse anesthesia. Scholarly inquiry into case studies, patient care management, thesis development, and intensive review
Learning Outcomes
- Demonstrate didactic knowledge to clinical application with minimal fragmentation.
- Construct a thorough preoperative assessment and anesthesia plan.
- Evaluate the relationship between theory and practice as it relates to nurse anesthesia and healthcare.
- Defend current practice and personal research.
- Construct draft version of an organized thesis or project.
Requirements
The student is required to return to campus at the end of each session for clinical conferencing and intensive review. Every student is expected to attend the lecture and lab sessions. Meetings with assigned thesis mentor will be scheduled by the student as well. Student presented case studies, conference reports, and group projects will be presented. All documentation of case involvement must be submitted.
