Course Description

Overview on theories of total quality management required for a successful organization. In addition, key Global Trends, Costs of Poor Quality, and Ethical Dilemmas will be discussed. The concepts related to Six Sigma, Benchmarking, SPC, quality tools, and ISO 9000-2000 will be discussed.

  • Demonstrate an understanding of quality management tools and practices including Six Sigma, Benchmarking, SPC, quality tools, and ISO 9000-2000.
  • Summarize skills to implement quality management systems to manage projects/operations successfully.
  • Evaluate various factors involved in the practice of implementing total quality management programs.
