Course Description

Introduction to the powerful computer aided design package SolidWorks for mechanical design applications, modeling and analysis.

Learning Outcomes

  • Understand major concepts embedded into the SolidWorks software package.
  • Apply SolidWorks commands and procedures.
  • Utilize modeling capabilities of SolidWorks for actual mechanical design projects.
  • Implement SolidWorks’ techniques for design of particular mechanical parts, such as nuts, bolts, bearings, and retaining rings.
