Microelectronics Lab

Course Description

This lab course is designed to supplement the material of CEE420, to assist students in obtaining a better understanding of the operation of microelectronic circuits. Laboratory activities include the design, construction, computer simulation, and analysis of transistor circuits, multi-stage amplifiers, operational amplifiers, current drivers and other semiconductor circuits.

Learning Outcomes

  • Measure characteristics of Diodes, Bipolar transistors, MOSFETs and other semiconductor devices.
  • Use oscilloscopes and others instruments to monitor and collect experimental data.
  • Analyze experimental data to verify various laws and theorems of electronic circuits.
  • Design and build various types of electronic circuits such as transistor circuits, multistage amplifiers, operational amplifiers, rectifiers etc.

Requirements

Students are expected to study the lab manual and textbook, participate in all lab activities, and turn in all lab reports as scheduled. Failure to do so may result in the loss of points or the lowering of one’s grade.
