Managing Finances Operations

Course Description

This course provides a survey of how higher educational institutions are funded: private, non-profit/private, and public. Trends in higher education finance will be examined. Students will engage in case studies of institutions in financial crises and examine solutions to these crises.

  • Summarize the ways in which public, private, and non-profit/private higher education institutions are funded.
  • Evaluate effective strategies to manage facilities, development, and other non-academic side of a higher education institution.
  • Analyze the current and future trends in higher education funding.
  • Formulate solutions to the crises higher education institutions face.
