Course Description

An examination of the various tools and frameworks to conduct a system/network security audit or assessment. Various IT audit frameworks, government and non-government, will be covered. Legal and ethical aspects of IT auditing and assessment will be covered.

Learning Outcomes

  • Examine IT audit frameworks for government and non-government environments.
  • Describe the legal and ethical requirements of an IT Auditor.
  • Conduct an IT audit of a system in accordance with a designated standard.
  • Conduct a vulnerability assessment in accordance with a designated standard.
