Course Description

An explanation of the development and design of system architectures that meet cybersecurity requirements. Students will examine methods to translate technology and environmental conditions (e.g., law and regulation) into system and security design.

Learning Outcomes

  • Identify the components of a security architecture.
  • Analyze system components and determine the appropriate security architecture to meet regulatory requirements and achieve organizational goals.
  • Examine the architecture of a typical complex system and identify significant vulnerabilities, risks, and points at which specific security technologies/methods should be employed.
